Full-time laboratory technician (MT or MLT) who will be responsible for generalist and stat testing for a variety of specimens coming in from our clients and patient service centers as well as our doctor's offices. You must possess a high level of technical knowledge and application of that knowledge to department testing, clinical relevance, and complex problem solving skills. You will serve as a department resource, and will be responsible for assisting with department compliance with all pertinent laboratory accrediting agency and regulatory requirements (e.g., CLIA '88, CAP, OSHA). Micro experience a plus.
· Bachelor’s or Associates degree in clinical laboratory science, medical technology with certification · Bachelor’s in chemical or biological science with MT certification (ASCP, AMT, AAB) or previously qualified as a Technologist under 42 CFR 493.1433 published in March 14, 1990. · Foreign educated candidates must provide a detailed credential evaluation from IERF (International Education Research Foundation). · Students may be hired at the job title equivalent to their future certification under the following conditions: Student is enrolled in a clinically recognized program (CLS), student’s clinical rotation in the core area must be completed prior to working in that core area and student must complete bachelor’s program within one year of hire.
